Smart Cover Cosmetics was proud to be a partner at the Vascular Birthmark Foundation’s Annual Conference in New York City. The foundation offers so much in patient support for men, women and children with profound birthmarks, and they received pro-bono consultations with leading physicians in the field. Vascular Birthmarks, which appear at birth, are non-cancerous tumors made up of abnormal blood vessels. They may disappear or diminish over the years, but they can have a social and psychological impact on children who must live with the stigma of looking different. Smart Cover was pleased to be represented by Lisa Butera, Esthetics Director, from the Catherine Hinds Institute. As the guest make-up artist at the conference, she found it personally and professionally rewarding to be able to help these patients understand camouflage techniques.
